The new Campagnolo Centaur 11 speed groupset has many changes over the out going Veloce components. The whole groupset weighs 2471g with 11-29T cassette. The is no compromise in performance or longevity. The only difference between this groupset and the higher tier parts are the materials and shifter function.
The Centaur 11 speed Ergo’s use an updated power shift mechanism. The update is in the material used to improve long term reliability. The function is still the same, one down shift click from the thumb button and multiple upshifts from the paddle.
Centaur 11 speed shifters and rear mechs can only be used with each other. They are not compatible with other components from the Campagnolo range. Only wide range cassettes should be used with the rear derailleur.
